Dental Implants
a lifetime solution.

A dental implant is a permanent, natural-feeling replacement for a missing tooth, looking, feeling and functioning like the real thing.

What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a small titanium post placed into your jaw to act as a replacement root for a missing tooth. A custom-made crown is then attached on top, completing your smile with a natural-looking, fixed result.

Why choose an implant?

Unlike a denture or bridge, an implant is fully fixed, there's nothing to take in and out, and nothing else to alter on neighbouring teeth. With good care, an implant can last a lifetime.

The process

  1. An initial consultation with 3D CBCT (cone beam) imaging to assess your jaw and plan the right solution for you
  2. Placement of the titanium implant post
  3. A healing period while the implant integrates with your jaw bone
  4. Fitting of your final custom-crafted crown

Bone grafting

An implant needs enough healthy bone to anchor into. If bone has been lost, after an extraction, gum disease or years of wearing dentures, we can rebuild it with a bone graft, either before or at the time of implant placement. It's a routine, well-established procedure that makes implant treatment possible for many patients who thought they'd missed their chance.
